Season 2 Begins April 9—and someone is finally coming home.

I’ve been working around the clock to finalize the upcoming season, and it’s finally entering the home stretch.
Season 2 drops April 9!!
When I started Haintland, the idea was to build a home for haunted and unsettling stories set across Louisiana. Eventually, I hope the project will grow into a place where other horror writers can share their work as well. For now, though, I’m still building the foundation and Season 2 dives deeper into one of my favorite fictional places.
That place is Belle Terre, Louisiana. The real Haintland.
You may remember Belle Terre as the setting of The Gator, the two-part finale from Season 1. The town sits deep in the bayou, surrounded by dark water, cypress trees, and stories that have been waiting a long time to surface. While the name might sound familiar if you’ve driven past the real Belle Terre community on I-10, my version and creation of an actual town, has grown into something very different.
And Belle Terre has many stories to tell.
Season 2 begins with a new serialized horror story called A Safe Place.
Here’s the story: A woman returns to the bayou house where she grew up, hoping a quiet weekend will help repair her relationship with her daughter. The house is filled with the memories of her childhood—memories of safety, family, and home. But some houses hold on to more than memories, and before long she begins to realize that the house remembers things she tried to forget.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a few hints and glimpses of Season 2. That includes a cover reveal, info about the fictitious town, and more.
